Pyrolysis: 
Fueling The Future

Pyrolysis is a thermal decomposition process where chemical bonds within the feedstock are broken down using heat. As energy is applied, the feedstock molecules disintegrate into stable fragments, resulting in the production of valuable energy products.

 

Our process operates through Vacuum Pyrolysis, where feedstock is rapidly heated in a controlled, oxygen-depleted environment. This method allows for the conversion of materials into three primary outputs: liquid bio-oil, solid biochar, and non-condensable gases.

Although pyrolysis is an endothermic process, the majority of the energy input is utilized to raise the materials temperature. For instance, heating biomass from 25°C to 500°C requires approximately 1.08 MJ/kg, which constitutes over two-thirds of the total energy needed for the process. This efficient use of energy makes our system both cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
